On Monday, 5th October, a suicide bomber entered the building of the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, and blew himself up. Sadly, five people lost their lives in the attack and the United Nations are now on high alert.
This is just a short note to say that I am fine as I am a few thousand kilometres away from my office in Islamabad. I am still in Kathmandu and even though I felt a bit guilty for not being there for my colleagues and my boss, I am happy to be in Nepal.
However, my thoughts are with the Pakistani people at this very moment and I will go to Bouddha Stupa in Kathmandu tomorrow and light a butter lamp for those, who have lost their lives in the attack.

I’m soooo glad you were in KTM at the time this happened. I’m sorry for those who lost their lives. If you had been there, how far is the WFP building from your Islamabad office?
